Coyote Boogies Down Before Apple Blossom

Last weekend we marched our giant puppets through town for the annual Apple Blossom Festival Parade – the biggest event of the year here in Wenatchee – and our float was a hit!

Kids and parents alike delighted in the towering paper mache effigies dancing and bobbing along the street.

We had the mystical beaver, clever coyote, prospector Pete, David Thompson and even an Apple Blossom Queen represented in the lineup and they all danced with the Salvadorian dancers before getting underway on the parade route.

Here’s a short video of them dancing to the Salvadorian grooves:

Special thanks to Rod Daut for producing this short video. Rod pens a local art blog and is a great supporter of local arts and culture – you can check it out here.
